well this happened to my wii it’s ok nothing will happen
Is it damaging your disc? Is it wrecking your wii? Are you unable to play your wii?
If you answered NO to all these you are fine.
Call Nintendo
Ok i think what happened to you happened to me. It made this funny sound and the discs didnt work. But in your case since it does work its probally not that. I called nintendo, and i got it fixed, but if it does anything to not make your games work, then call them right away.
i hope u did not buy it off of e-bay lol
maybe the wii has to be cleaned out if it could b cleaned out
or ur discs need to be cleaned try that if not call Nintendo
If your games don’t play or only play some of the time it could be a problem which can be easily solved with recalibrating the laser. If you don’t have warranty, then you get to have the fun of doing this yourself.
NOTE: Always have a professional opinion before opening any game console case. It usually voids warranty (but if you had it you’d probably use it right….right?) and if you screw something up then you have an expensive piece of junk on your hands.
Anyway, I’ve had this problem before with my Dreamcast (as did quite a few others I’ve heard). And after recalibrating the laser, it worked fine again with every game I tried.
Unfortunately, I do not own a Wii, so I’ve never experienced this problem before. Nor do I know the interior layout of a Wii. So should you decide to approach this choice keep in mind/do the following:
1. USE WARRANTY, if you have it anyway.
2. I am in no way responsible if you try this and it messes up in some way or another.
3. Research as much as possible before attempting. Things like interior Wii layout designs, other people who have the same problem/possible solution.
4. A step by step how-to guide for recalibrating a Wii laser, if there is one. Don’t ask me how, I don’t know because I don’t have a Wii.
This should help, it sounds like same problem I had but like I said, get a professional opinion first, use warranty, and research it. Hope this helps.
