Wii Contactless Charger By Sanyo
There will be a new charger and battery pack for the Wiimote in 25th August 2008 produced by Sanyo, Japan. It is going to be released in Japan for the Wii users but there is no news about expanding the market to other regions.
What is so cool about this charger anyway?
The charger and battery pack offers a new way to charge your Wiimote. Instead of using electric plates, this duo enable you to charge your Wiimote through a ‘contactless’ condition. All you need to do is to put the Wiimote into the charging dock and thats it.
It is using the eneloop cells technology that uses the magnetic fields (induction) to charge. The best thing is you don’t even have to remove the remote jacket if you are using one. However, the downside is you can only charge one remote at a time.
The price is higher than other chargers. It is estimated to cost around 5,500 Yen or $50.
