One of the questions that often come to a player’s mind is whether you can really be fit with Wii exercise games. Nintendo, the provider of Wii however claims that Wii Fit is for everyone. The only cliché is that you have to own the Wii costing $250 to get the video exercise games with it and also to be able using the Wii Fit.
Conversely you can consider spending another $90 to top it with a CD full of exercises, all required information, and above all, the balance board. The balance board is 12” X 20” in size and made of plastic. Most of the exercises save the running are performed on the board or near it. It senses quite accurately your position and functions as measuring scale.
Once you boot and connect with your Wii console, the next step would be creating a “Mii” that would be an avatar of your person. The avatar will have a nickname and anatomical features matching your own. Mii is created using the Wiimote. After you enter all your vital statistics, the narrator will announce your weight, index of body mass as well as your “Wii” fit age.
Balance is the key issue in Wii and it determines your fitness level. Most of the Wii Fit activities aim at creating core workout emphasizing slow and controlled motions.
