Chapter 2 Modchip Information

In order to play games from other regions you can use a Freeloader instead of installing a modchip (Note: Nintendo Wii Patch 3.3 rendered Freeloaders useless, so be sure you check that it works before buying this product).

If you decided to install a modchip you can first determine which chipset your Wii have with Serial Tracker

For older Wii D2B chipsets use Wiikey , CycloWiz

For newer Wii D2C chipsets use D2Pro, Argon, Wasabi

If using a clip you need to be careful:
Had one or two people who didn’t seat the clip squarely and broke a leg on the D2 chip.
Also if the clip is taken out you need to replace the clip because they’re only good for one go.

Modchips are are way to go! Watch those video’s twice and make sure when you put it back together the ribbon cable isn’t leaning on the disc drive! (makes for a very loud gaming experience)
