Animal Crossing: City Folk Money Tips You Should Know
Making money is really important in Animal Crossing: City Folk. You can get tools from Tom Nook such as fishing rod
and shovel if you have the money. However, how do you get money in the game? Just like in reality, earning money can be time consuming. Apart from that, there are challenges and you might want to give up in the end. But once you get hold of your own money making scheme, you will find that the game is really enjoyable and soon you will discover more ways to earn money faster or easier.
Below are some ways you can earn money in Animal Crossing: City Folk.
1. Sea Shells
Check out the sea side especially in the morning as you might find some sea shells that you can sell to Tom Nook to get some money.
2. Bug Catching
This is intriguing. While we have no idea why Tom Nook wants the bug but you can earn quite a lot of money if you sell the bugs to Tom Nook.
3. Fishing
You need a fishing rod and you can get one from Tom Nook for 400 bells. This gives you more choices when making money especially if you have been gathering fruits and sea shells all these while. Be reminded that the type of fish and the season / time of the day have effects on the amount you can get by selling the fish.
4. Dig Spots
There are 3 new cracks appear on the ground everyday. They look like ‘X’ and what would you do with it? Dig it and you might find fossil or any items. While you can sell the items you got especially fossil but you might want to keep it to yourself so you can decorate your home as some of the items are really rare.
5. Fruit
Gather fruits in your area and you can get 100 bells for it. Gather non-native fruits and sell it in your area will earn you 500 bells. So, if you want to visit a friend in another town be sure to bring along your native fruits so you can sell there for as much as 500 bells too.
6. Money Rocks
Don’t be too surprise to hear this but there is a rock in your village that will give you money if you slam the rock with a shovel. If you slam for once the value is at 200 but when you slam repetitively, the value will increase by 200 as well. So keep on slamming on the rock until you reach a 10-second time limit.
7. Money Trees
A golden shovel and bag of money are what you need to plant a Money Tree. If the tree grows, you will get three money bags but unfortunately the Money Tree doesn’t always grows so in order to increase the chances, you can try to plant a money bag with a higher value.
8. Stalk Market
Actually this is the stock market version but in Animal Crossing, it is known as stalk market. What you can do here? You can purchase turnips (or “stalks”) at a set price (generally somewhere around $100) and then re-sell them to Nook at whatever his asking price is, which changes daily.
Now this is a risky business. Sometimes you might be able to sell it higher while sometimes lower.
Tricks: You don’t have to sell the turnips in your town. In fact, you can sell them in any of your friend’s towns, and at their prices! So if one of your friend’s town is buying them at a high price, stuff your pockets full of turnips and head on over!

the money tree is hard to grow but its worth it you can get like 90thousand
to get money make it easter & dig bunnie eggs then open them & if sweets sell them for 100 bells each if bunnie foil go to da bunnie & he’ll give u a item sell it at tom nooks for 9000 bells
if u go on to xmas eve after 8pm on animal crossing on wii u will find jingle he will give u a gift which will sell at tom nooks for over 12,000 bells!!! do it lots of times and u will get lots of bells but remember u hav to change the year each time u do it.
(your hair will get messed up and there will probly be lots of weeds in your town but it is worth it if u want the money)
oh and to deal with the weed problem a ghost will appear in your town on a mondaii 1nce all the shops are closed find his lamp and give it to him he will reward u with a treat 1 of them is to get rid of all the weeds in ur town.

I wasted all my money on trying to get money trees and i gave up and went back to wandering along the coast hoping to catch a bunch of expensive fish but one day a coconut washed up on my beach and i only have cherries in my neighborhood so i thought it would be a neat change i figured out 3 coconuts is the equivalent to a whole backpack full of cherries so than is a fantastic way to get money but fishing still works great but it takes a longer time to get fish then to just shake trees and pick up coconuts

Actually, if you see a the shiny spotlight coming from the ground, dig it up, but don’t bury the hole…go to your pockets and click on the money you collected. Then, click “bury”… in about a few days you well have 3,000 bells…each day more grows. This also works with the Nintendo Gamecube Animal Crossing.

Send your native fruit as a gift to all of your animal friends.Be sure to include the word,”Fruit” in your letter.
