10 More Wii Tips

To all the Nintendo Wii Fans, here is another compilation of the Wii tips that are very useful especially for those die hard Nintendo Wii fans. You get to learn more on how to use you Nintendo Wii the better way and discover some of the unknown functions of Nintendo Wii.

Check this out!

1. Get Miis in your parade: Setting your Miis to Mingle, and having your friends do the same thing will soon have Miis walking around in your parade. Your friends’ Miis will wonder over to your console and parade around, so long as they are set to Mingle. You can then grab them and send them to your Plaza so you have a copy.

2. In Zelda, the direction Link spins when doing a spin attack depends on which way you spin your nunchuck.

3. In Wii Sports Bowling, when you press up on the Directional Pad, it will zoom in on the lane. The zoom in sound is the exact same sound from Super Mario 64 anytime you moved the camera.

4. If you go to the Channel section in your menu you can choose to save VC games on a SD card.

5. In LOZ:TP if you keep it at the start screen for an extended period of time, it plays an extremely extended trailer that they didn’t show to the general public.

6. On hole 3 of  Wii Sports Golf, there is a small section of fairway at about a 45 degree angle to the left from the tee box. It is a small patch surrounded by Out Of Bound-ness. If you can land your ball on there, you can easily make it on the green in 2, to Eagle the course.

7. Wii Video 9 – Wii Video Converter

Wii Video 9 is a free video conversion application developed by Red Kawa. It allows you to convert your computer video files (like avi, divx, mpeg, etc.) into the specific video formats that are playable on the Wii.

Wii Video 9 can also be combined with Videora, another software application, and together they can let you automatically download and convert video for your Wii using BitTorrent and RSS technology.

8. In the Wii menus, turn your wrist and the hand cursor will also turn.

9. from Varelse: While your Wii is powered down you can press any button on your Wiimote and lights will flash. The number of lights flashing is the amount of charge left in your battery (1 is least charge, 4 is most charge).

10. In Wii Bowling, if you aim right to any lane near you, you can throw your ball there, but you won’t hit any pins unless you aim right.

If you manage to learn all these tips and tricks, I am sure you will be a better Wii player.

3 Ways of Customizing Wii Fit

guide wiifit 12114041332 3 Ways of Customizing Wii Fit

Wouldn’t it be great to customize your Nintendo Wii Fit, the way you would your mobile phone? Install a unique theme, give it a brand new look and let it shine with character? The fact is, if you’re willing to spend some time brainstorming how you want your Nintendo Wii Fit to look, customizing it isn’t as difficult or expensive as you thought. Here are 3 ways you can do that :

(1) Spruce Up Your Balance Board With A Designer Silicon Cover

Yes, one of the easiest ways to give your Nintendo Wii Fit a refreshing look is to clad your balance board with a designer silicon cover. In an instance, you can transform your plain looking balance board into a patriotic national flag, part of a leopard’s body or simply a free styled manifestation of your artistic expression. Not only does the silicon cover add an air of sophistication to your Wii Fit, it also protects the balance board from your perspiration and dirt. The non slip nature of the silicon material also prevents accidents.

In case you’re wondering, nope, such silicon covers aren’t expensive at all. Due to the popularity of the Nintendo Wii Fit, the supply of silicon covers have readily increased and helped to slash retail prices. You can easily get a nice functional cover sometimes for as low as $1 on eBay!

(2) Top It Up With A Great Wii Skin or Case

If having a designer styled silicon cover is not enough for you, take this a step further by dolling up your Wii console & remote control with customised skins. There are some pretty ingenius ideas on such and one of the most hilarious I’ve seen is the Kentucky Fried Chicken (‘KFC’) theme. Apparently, someone was creative enough to design the remote control custom skin in the form of a fried chicken drumstick, with the KFC logo proudly displayed on the Wii console! Although it was just a photoshopped picture, well, who knows if that would really turn out to be a best seller?

(3) Customise Your Mii Avatar

Miis are the little avatars that you create on the Wii to be used in various games and configurations. Mii, pronounced as ‘me’ are in essence your graphical representation in the Wii world. They look like Manga versions of the characters in the comic “Peanuts” and can be modified using a series of system features to create a broad range of variation. To add some spice into your Wii Fit experience, you might want to try changing your Mii Avatar to something that represents your true personality! And if you’re game for it, there are some premium services offered on the Internet to create custom made Mii avatars for the price of a cup of Starbucks coffee! Well, that’s not too high a price to pay for a unique expression of your individuality, isn’t it?

Nintendo Wii Hard Drive Problems

1008850 ddr2 stick Nintendo Wii Hard Drive ProblemsWhat’s the worst thing to happen when you are a die hard fan of Nintendo Wii? The Wii’s memory has a big problem that none of the users would like to experience. The limited amount of space available.

This means that when you download one game, it would take up one of the menu’s square. What happen is when you have downloaded many games, there is no space left for any new games you want to download and in order to download more games, you need to delete some of the old games but you have paid for the games so it would be a waste of money and time.

Below is a comparison of the memory among the most popular consoles in the world.

X-Box 360: 20 GB to 120 GB

PS3: 20 GB to 80 GB

Wii: 512 MB plus 2 GB of memory on the SD card.

The new games are getting bigger in size and 512MB is simply not enough. Thankfully, Nintendo president himself noticed the problem and assured that the problem will be rectified.

Apparently only hard core players complained about the lack of memory but be assured that the problem will be solved as soon as possible according to the president.
